MARCH 30TH-APRIL 1ST

We have wood articles from the Holy Land for sale after all the Masses today at the back of the Church.
 
If there are any young men or women who are interested in becoming Altar servers at the English Masses, please give your name to Sr. Karen or call the Parish Office.
 
Don't forget to mark your calendar for our Festival on June 1-3rd. Much more will be following.
 
This Monday evening we will have a Pot luck supper in the hall beginning at 7pm. Come spend some time with other parishioners and get a chance to meet and chat with them. The Mass of Chrism will be going on at the Cathedral where the Holy Oils are blest by the Archbishop for all parishes. It's a time for us to gather, thank God for our blessings and look forward to Holy Week and Easter. Hope to see you there.
 
If you can donate an Easter Lilly for Easter, please bring it to the Parish Office no later than Holy Saturday. The environment committee will be setting the environment on Holy Saturday. You can put a name of someone you would like remembered with your lily and it will be placed with the plant.

MARCH 24TH-25TH

The doughnut hospitality today is being served by the S.H.A.R.E. Ministry please come and invite your pew mate and family to come get and give a hug,  fellowship over a cup of hot coffee and scratch homemade coffee cake.  Hugs are FREE everything else is $1.00.    (If the weather is nice we are on the Placita if it rainy and cold we are in the hall)
 
At the same time as you fellowship you can pick up a Metro Bus Discount Voucher.
Drop your pennies off for the Penny Collection. Drop off your candy and requested donations for our Saturday Children for Easter.
Read the messages from our Christmas Dinner guests on the board read the past messages of praises written by the church family members and add your new praise reports of how you have been blessed.
 
Saturday March 31, 2-3:30PM please bring your used clothing donations to the Grotto Parking Lot.  Please do not bring before, after or leave in any other area.  We are few and have difficulty moving the items from the PC to the Grotto.
 
Mark your calendar for our Annual Festival, which will be June 1-3rd this year. Raffle tickets will be coming soon as well as our Princess candidates. If there is any young girl who would like to run for Queen, please let us know.
 
There have been some instances of graffiti in the school bathrooms over the past few weeks. Please monitor your youth if they use the restrooms as this can be costly to fix and is very disrespectful. Thank you.
 
If there are any young men or women who would like to learn how to altar serve at the English Masses, please see Sr. Karen and give her your names and phone numbers. We will be starting a new class soon.

MARCH 17TH-18TH

Metro Discount Bus Vouchers will be distributed next Sunday in the Placita Area.  Senior and disable vouchers are available again.  Please bring your ID.
 
Please bring a stamped Easter Card next Sunday and drop in the basket in the Placita area. These cards will be addressed and mailed to our homebound family members for Easter.
 
Please bring the pennies that you have been saving for our Penny Collection to the doughnut hospitality area on the Placita next Sunday.  The pennies will be used to purchase Easter treats for our guests.
 
If anyone would like to donate hair bows or barrettes our 15 girls guests ages 6 months -12 years and socks please bring to the doughnut Hospitality area on the Placita next Sunday.  .
 
The next used clothing collection date is Saturday March 31.  Please see the bulletin for further information.
 
Concerned about the education of your children? Want to advocate for public school improvement?  LA Voice and the Social Justice Committee at Saint Agatha will hold a meeting with parents to discuss how to improve the schools in the community. The meeting will be March 24 at 1:00 pm in the Guadalupe Room.
 
This Monday Night is our Penance Service at 7:00 p.m.  at the church and there will be no soup supper.
 
The Fish Fry continues this Friday evening at 6pm at the kitchen in the Hall.

MARCH 10TH-11TH

Please mark down the dates for our Festival, June 1-3. We hope to have a great week-end with new foods and entertainment. Please plan on bringing your family and friends.
 
We have set the date for our Parish Picnic also. It will be on July 29th at Veterans Park in Culver City. Mark it down!!
 
Our Soup Supper this Monday night will bring us Fr. Stan Bosch as the speaker and the soup is being provided by
 
The Fish Fry is on Friday evenings at 6pm at the kitchen in the Hall.
 
Please join us in the Hall after the 10am Mass for some Irish food, music and fun.

ANNOUNCEMENTS MARCH 3RD -4TH ANNOUNCEMENTS MARCH 3RD -4TH

We have been asked to help with a bus going to the prisons' for Mother's Day. What we need are around 5 people who would be willing to be here at St. Agatha's on Sat. May 12th at 3am to meet the people and give them breakfast and help load the bus. We do not need to go on the bus. If this is something you might be able to do, please see Gloria after Mass today outside of church.
 
As you know there are many things around here that break or need fixing. We had this happen this week to the washer and dryer in the Rectory. If there are any parishioner's who might be able to help us in paying for these items, please see Sr. Karen.
 
Hope to see you Monday night at the Soup Supper when Fabian Debora, a local artist, will be sharing with us. Don't forget the fish fry dinners on Friday either. You can eat here or take it home.
 
We had a wonderful victory on Wednesday at the City Council when they voted unanimously in favor of the Bank Ordinance. Thank you to all who have hung in there over the last two years to attend meetings and meetings and meetings to get this to vote. We did it!! This is social justice in action!!
 
There are no coffee and donuts today because of the Blood Drive. Please remember to keep your appointment.
 
Next Sunday March 11, everyone is invited to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the Parish Hall after the 10:00 a.m. mass. There will be Irish music and dancers. Contact Donal O'Sullivan for more information.
 
We regret to announce that Ethel Singleton, Sylvia Davis' mom, has departed to the Lord. Her funeral will be on Thursday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery.
 
10:00 a.m. Mass only: Good news! Starting next Sunday, March 11th, the Children Liturgy of the Word will be back. We have a new coordinator: Essence Stamps (Essence, if you are present please stand up). Please pass the word around. We are anxious to see your children come and learn with us the word of the Lord.
