JULY 31ST –AUG. 1ST

All parents that missed the Orientation to register their children in year 1 Confirmation can come on Saturday August 7 at 9:00am in the Parish Hall for the Program Orientation. Please bring your children's baptismal and first communion certificate.

We have a rendition of what the new Placita will look like at the back of the Church. Please stop by and look at it. You can also place orders for your commemorative brick that will go in the Placita today. We will have these order forms available for the next month. I hope many of our families will take advantage of this opportunity to leave a permanent remembrance of your family here at the Church. The bricks are $30 each and you can put up to three lines of writing on each brick.

Hope to see you all at the Picnic today starting at 11am around the field.

JULY 24TH-25TH

Have you lost your home to foreclosure or are you afraid you might? Do you have property on your block that has been lost to the bank and is not being kept up? We would like to talk to you and perhaps can help you. We are LA VOICE, a community organizing group that St. Agatha's belongs to. Please talk to one of the Parishioners, who will be at the table behind the Church after Masses today, and we will see if we can help you.

Dodger game tickets are still available. You can purchase yours after Masses today behind the church.

Don't forget to fill in the sign up sheet in the bulletin for the Picnic on Aug. 1st. See you all there.

We started a new altar server class a few months ago and have not completed it. If there are any young people, grades 3 and up who would like to join this group, please see Sr. Karen after Mass at the table behind the Church. Those who were in the group already please stop by and see her also. We will begin sometime in Sept.

Religious Education is holding registration today in the Hall. There will also be an Orientation meeting for all First Year Confirmation students and parents in the Hall today at 1:30pm. Please make an effort to come and let other families know about this meeting.

We will start selling the memorial bricks next week and have a picture of what the Placita will look like with the bricks and other improvements. Work on it may start very soon.

JULY 17TH-18TH

We have a second collection today which will go to the Catholic University's fund. Thank you for whatever you are able to give.

Muriel Badon's Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 22nd at 11:30am at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be a repass at St. Agatha's following the funeral.

We still have some Dodger ticket's left if you have not purchased yours yet. Adults are $20 and children 15 and under are $15. They are available after the Masses today. We only have a couple of weeks left before the game.

I asked last week for those who had not pledged for Together in Mission to please do so to help us cover our shortfall of $11,000. I'm asking to ushers today have envelopes available for you to take when they hand out the bulletin. Again, whatever you can do to help us cover this, is greatly appreciated.

Don't forget our Choir's concert at Holy Spirit Retreat Center on July 21st at 7:30pm. You can just come or if you would like to purchase a dinner, details are in the bulletin.

We have a tear off in the bulletin today to help us organize our Parish Picnic. Please take a few minutes and fill it out and then drop it in the collection basket next week. This will help us know how many to expect and what we need to purchase. Thank you.

Religious Education registration is going on in the Martin de Pores' room today after all Masses.

Coffee and donuts at the Parish Hall.

JULY 10TH-11TH

We will have the National Needs collection next week-end.

The dates, times and places for the Welcome Mass for Archbishop Gomez for our Region are in the bulletin. The only one in English will be at St. Jerome Church on July 18th at 11am. There will be one in Spanish and two Bi-lingual. You are invited to attend whichever one you would like. I hear that he is very friendly and wants to meet the people personally. I hope some of you will avail of this opportunity.

Our Parish Picnic will be on Aug. 1st starting at 11am. It will be held here at the Church. If you would like to sign up to bring something for the community table, please stop at the table at the back of the Church.

There will be a meeting on July 25th, Sunday, at 1:30pm in the Guadalupe room for those who have signed up for the Holy Land Trip and for those who might be interested in coming with us. Please pass the word around to those you know who might be interested.

I would like to thank all of you who pledged for Together In Mission. Unfortunately, we are $11,000 short on our pledge. That means that even if everyone who pledged paid, we would still not reach our goal. This means that this money would need to come out of our operating expenses. If you did not pledge but feel you can now, please take an envelope and do so today. You can drop them in the basket or give them to the front office. Thank you.

St Agatha's Dream Group will meet next Sunday, July 18, from 11:30am to 1:30pm in the Guadalupe Room. The group will be led by Fr. Bill and Josie Broehm, everyone is welcome.

Also, join us at a fun game with the Dodgers; you may purchase your ticket after mass.

Finally, we ask for your prayers for the soul of Muriel Badon who went to our Father on Saturday evening. She was a great artist and friend, may she rest in peace.

JULY 3RD-4TH

On Wednesday July 21 at 6:30pm our Gospel choir will be conducting its annual "Concert Under the Stars" as a fund-raiser for Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino. If you are able to attend, please do; this is a delightful evening, and one that benefits the retreat center that is so generous to our parish in giving us unbelievable discounts.

Registration for Religious Education will not take place this week-end, but will resume next week-end.

We have the tickets to the Dodgers game on Aug. 6th available after Masses today. Cost is $20 per-ticket. We would like to set up car pooling, so please stop at the table and we will see what can be arranged.

The American Red Cross is in desperate need to Type O Negative Blood. If you have this type, please consider signing up for the drive on July 11th. Sign ups are at the table behind the Church today.

We will have our Parish Picnic on August 1, here at St Agatha, more info to come.
